Hi, I am Denise Rooyakkers a dedicated educator with over 20 years of experience, and I’m passionate about helping students overcome their challenges in literacy. I’m also a mother of two wonderful children, aged 20 and 18, and I cherish my time spent reading, meditating, walking, and enjoying the company of my dog, Bluberry. My book club is a special retreat where I can dive deep into new worlds, much like the journey I encourage in my students.

At Visualize Literacy, we take a holistic approach to literacy. We focus on identifying and targeting the specific needs of each child, helping them to become confident and effective readers. My personal experiences have shaped this program, and I’m committed to making a difference in the lives of the children I work with.
